Get Involved

Now you can be a volunteer and be part of the team that keeps these warbirds flying. No flying or mechanical experience is necessary. We want anyone who shares the passion of aviation!

Keep Us Flying

All of our members are volunteers who work tirelessly to maintain and show off our precious fleet. We can't do it alone! 100% of your donations go directly to supporting the fleet and keep us where we belong, IN THE AIR!

Meet the Members

Although we all share a passion for military aviation, we come from many backgrounds. Many of our members have also served in the military and some of them have flown combat missions in Korea, Vietnam, and other conflicts around the world.

About Us

The CAF was founded to acquire, restore and preserve in flying condition a complete collection of combat aircraft which were flown by all military services of the United States, and selected aircraft of other nations, for the education and enjoyment of present and future generations of Americans.

More than just a collection of airworthy warplanes from the past, the CAF's fleet of historic aircraft, known as the CAF Ghost Squadron, recreate, remind and reinforce the lessons learned from the defining moments in American military aviation history.

The DFW Wing is home to five fantastic planes which are all flown regularly in support of the CAF Mission. These aircraft are restored, maintained, and flown by our member/volunteers known as Colonels.
